The Town of Montross is considered the mural capital of the Northern Neck as it has fourteen beautiful murals located on or inside different buildings within the town quarters. The town has recently gone through a revitalization program that has turned it into a destination for art lovers as well as antiquers.

The town was very fortunate to have the lovely Melanie Stimmell Van Latum,  a renowned artist and illustrator, paint the murals.  She and her team  completed the 13 murals, including the restoration of the Coca Cola Mural. Each of the murals has a historic or vintage flare that speaks to the rich history of the area.
