For 24 years I was in the restaurant business in Metropolitan Washington, D.C., regionally and nationally serving 20 years as an executive with various chains. In 1977 I bought my first (of seven) old houses and have since lived on all three Chesapeake Bay peninsulas in historic houses as well as Richmond. My 7 old houses are the ones that appear on this website home page I am an unadulterated history and old house nut thus blending my avocation and vocation into one.
