The Town of Montross provides safe, efficient, and affordable municipal water service to residents and businesses within and just outside the Town’s corporate limits. Two wells pump water to our 100,000-gallon water tower. Town water quality monitored and tested in accordance with strict Virginia Department of Health Drinking Water Regulations. A Consumer Confidence Report is published in the Westmoreland News annually.
Water bills are rendered after the 15th of each month and are due and payable by the 10th of the following month. A $5.00 late fee is added to bills that are not paid by the 10th of each month.
If you are renting property in the Town of Montross, you will need to complete the Application For Water Service For Tenants and pay a $50 deposit. You must submit the application to Town Hall, in person.

TRASH PICK UP

The Town of Montross provides curbside trash pickup for its residents every WEDNESDAY. All trash should be available for removal by 6:00 a.m. Such items as automobile tires and parts, discarded appliances, and large shipping containers shall by disposed of by the customer. The Westmoreland County Transfer Station has special areas for these types of refuse.
