The Fall Festival Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Fall Festival due to public health and safety concerns related to the coronavirus. We are sad because it is the first time in over 50 years that the festival has been canceled. However, with all the unknowns of the virus, we feel it is the right decision.
We appreciate your support and understanding.

HONORING OUR FRONTLINE WORKERS
Plans are underway for the 2020 Montross Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd.
This year we plan to honor as our Grand Marshals those “frontline workers” who kept things going in our town and Westmoreland County during the pandemic shutdown that began in March. Thus, our theme will be "Honoring our Frontline Workers". This includes, but not limited to, grocery store clerks, bank tellers, postal and delivery workers, pharmacy employees, janitors, restaurateurs and their employees, police and sheriff’s department employees, fire fighters, all medical workers including doctors, nurses, and EMT's.
However, as you might anticipate, this event could be affected by the unknown circumstances of Covid-19. Certainly, should our local schools stay closed or postpone opening, we will likely cancel this year’s festival events. The committee will make a decision no later than September 1, 2020.
